Top 5 Budget Highlighters!

Hi dolls!

For my first ever proper review i thought I'd talk about something that has become indispensable in recent years in the beauty world...HIGHLIGHTERS! S/S13 is all about faking that gorgeous Kimmy K glow,Even if you haven't mastered the 'art'of contouring, higlighter on its own is an amazing finisher for make up and just adds that little pop! Although many have a hefty price tag and unfortunately we don't all have the budget of miss K so I've compiled a list of my favourite high-street/drugstore highlighter!

(Left to Right; Bourjois intense extrait 02,Elf studio blush in giddy gold,L'oreal lumi magique highlighting base, Technic High Lights,Elf essential healthy glow bronzing powder in luminance.

Technic High Lights; £3 available for amazon or most bodycare stores.
Product claims;'Beauty in a jar! light and easy to wear, enhance your cheeks, eyes and pout with this star product!'
This is a beautiful highlighter for that 'wide-awake' look,an amazing dupe for benefits 'high beam' for a whopping £15 less! This is probably the most 'glittery' highlighter so needs to be used with a light hand to avoid that 'glitter ball'effect! I believe this to look best on the cupids bow and in the tear duct to make features POP!

Elf essentials healthy glow in luminance;£1.50 available from international elf website.
Product claims;'A touch of sunshine to warm up every complexion with it's soft and silky texture for a beautiful and natural glow'
This is the cheapest highlighter in my top 5 and my absolute favourite! Although marketed as a bronzer for those with nw 10-15colouring this gives olive/yellow under tone skin a beautiful glowy sheen and looks a m a z i n g on the top cheek bones. Overall this is amazingly pigmented and is very finely milled and an amazing dupe for the balms 'mary lou manizer'!

Elf stuio blush in giddy gold;£3.75 available from international elf website
product claims;'soft sheer texture that blends into skin for a silky finish...highlight your complexion with a subtle healthy glow!'
giddy gold is a gorgeous multi-purpose blush or highlight colour to really fake a subtle summer  glow! i think this will look beautiful on all skin tones especially tan and deeper tones although you will need a nice dense brush to really pack the colour in! as with most gold highlighters this will really lift dull complexions and will be bang on trend for summer 2013 with a lovely bright fuscia lip!

L'oreal lumi magique pure light primer;£9.99  available at superdrug and boots stores nation wide.
product claims;'a luminous looking complexion as if lit from within'
Although marketed as a primer i feel this works wonderfully as a highlighter. It gives a lovely soft reflective glow and is a lot more natural than the over highlighters on this list making if perfect for daytime or 'no make up-make up' looks! All you need is a damp sponge or your ring finger to lightly blend this in to achieve the perfect affect!

Bourjois intense extrait 02 £6.50 available at superdrug and boots stores nation wide.
product claims;'87%mineral pigments and for a silky texture, the intense eyeshadow allows for a long lasting, intense and even coverage'Thees little pots don't fail to please!although not technically being a highlighter but an eyeshadow instead, thees provide a perfect blend of highlight and colour. This shade is the ultimate colour for those with neutral skin tones and adds a beautiful apricot burst!

What are you favourite drugstore highlighters?
thanks for reading,see you soon!
