Best of 2013

Hi dolls,sorry for the lack of posts recently,I've been caught in the crazy oblivion of Christmas and it's aftermath but I'm back with a few of my favourite products of 2013!

I could ramble on forever about what I've been loving this past 12 months but I've decided to keep it short and sweet and stick to my strictly HG products !

  Bobbi Brown Illuminating bronzing powder in 'Bali Brown'- I've been in love this bronzer the whole year round! It looks gorgeous with or without a tan and adds a healthy,luminous,bronzed glow making it absolutely perfecto! 

The body shop Body Butter in passion fruit-The butter is thick and creamy, absorbs instantly into the skin, leaving it perfectly moisturised without that horrible greasy film on the skin that many moisturisers leave and not forgetting the gorgeous tropical scent that lasts all day long! 

Mac 217 brush- This brush is my All time HG product! Although it does carry a hefty price tag,in my opinion it's well worth it!As cliché as it sounds it really 'does all the work for you!'No matter how good your product is,if you haven't got a good brush it won't look no where near as good! 

Uniq one 'All in one hair treatment'

I have extremely curly,borderline wild hair,and this is the only treatment that tames frizz,smooths and hydrates my hair till the next wash.It claims to:

1. Repair for dry and damaged hair.
2. Shine and frizz control.
3. Heat protection.
4. Silkiness and smoothness.
5. Hair colour protection/with UVA and UVB filters.
6. Easier brushing and ironing.
7. Incredible detangling.
8. Long-lasting hairstyle.
9. Split ends prevention.
10. Adds body.

And I must say I experienced all of these from the very first use!!!

Rimmel Match Perfection in 'Classic Beige' This foundation is absolutely fab for everyday use,midway between a satin and natural finish yet a definite medium coverage an absolute dream for dry,dehydrated skin like mine.A primer or a powder will utilise this for an oilier skin type and for only £6.99 it's a undeniable steal!!! 

The Ponds Institute Hydronurishing cream- My nana got me hooked on this moisturiser at the start of this year and I haven't looked back! I have gone through around 7 or 8 jars off this and I just can't get enough of the silky smooth finish it leaves behind,miracle in a jar! 

Sleek I-Divine pallet in 'Au Natural'-

Sleek is incredibly famous for being extraordinarily pigmented yet very affordable,and this pallet fails to disappoint! I've found myself reaching for this pallet every day as it has the diversity to create a wide range of looks;everything from a subtle wash of colour to a full blown vampy eye!

Sleek Face Form Contour Kit in 'Medium' and Real Technics Contour brush- these two really are a match made in heaven!❤️ I use my contour kit every single day and the pigment is that good I haven't even made a dent,and I've had it well over a year!

Mac Dupes;Lip Edition! xo

Hey Dolls,I thought I'd give you a little 'budget' dupes post today! In the 'blogesphere' Mac lipsticks are held with extremely high regard...and why not; super crazy pigmentation,colours and with all that of course comes pretty hefty prices! Although of course many products can't be duplicated and are totally worth the money,thees little picks,in my opinion are F A B alternatives!
*note;These pictures are not a completely accurate representations of the true colours,but i promise in real life they are perfect dupes!!*

Now this is my all time favourite dupe! This gorgeous cool tone red is perfect for a variety of skin tones and the matte finish adds a gorgeous classical finish! just a flick of black liner and some subtle contouring transforms you from day to night!

With it being December and all i cannot get enough of the whole dark lipstick/vampy look! But the weather isn't treating my lips the best meaning prepping the lips for a heavy matte lip isn't exactly fun,so a creamy formula is a must! 'dark cherry' and 'dark side' are perfect for fulfilling this and being bang on trend for A/W13,will you be making the splurge and stepping to the dark side?

As you can probably tell by now Revlon and mac are prettyyyy close!
'Up the Amp' is my forever favourite lipstick so i was delighted when i found 'Berry haute'.One quick swipe of the dupe leaves you with a pretty everyday colour,the sweeter,little sister of 'up the amp'but after abit of layering you get the full effect,almost identical to mac's version adding a perfect pop of pastel to almost any look,something to watch out for SS14!

Topshop 'Beguiled' Lipstick;Review xo

Hey Dolls! I've been loving this lipstick for aageees now,so it only felt right to do a review<3
'Beguiled' is a gorgeous deep wine shade in the bullet,that is absolutely perfect for this time of year! Although this shade looks extremely daunting and almost unwearable for daytime,it can be easily sheered out leaving behind a gorgeous plummy/pink jewelled tone,suitable for any occasion,but if like me you feel like being a little risque with your lip colour then this is definitely for you!

Like all topshop lipsticks 'beguiled' is very pigmented and extremely comparable to the quality of mac,but in my humble opinion the 'satin-matte' finish is faar easier to work with and is far more flattering than a traditional matte mac lipstick! My only con for this has lipstick has to be after 2 hours it does start to slightly feather at the edges but as do most darker shades *sighh*

Overall i adore this lipstick and for £8 i think its a must have for creating that perfect holiday look!

Out with the old in with the new...

Woah...I have left this blog totally neglected for months now! A complete fresh start is well and truly due,starting with a name change(eeekkk!)and a complete overhaul of it's image!<3 I finally feel ready to kickstart my blogging journey and I would love as many of you as possible to be apart of it...
